There is an annual event called Valleyfest in Spokane. Several booths and activities are set up for families to enjoy. This year they added an event that they called "Balloons Over Valleyfest" Here is an excerpt from the events page...
“Balloons Over Valleyfest,” a new event this year, will be a spectacular show for all ages! Watch as hot air balloons launch and fly throughout the Spokane Valley skies. The balloon launches will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning right after sunrise."
Since sunrise was at 6:34 am, we loaded up and left the house at 6:10 am. We drove to the festival, and waited...and waited...and waited. Finally about 7:00 TWO balloons became visible over the trees. We watched as they got caught in the wind and flew North over the mountain (nowhere near Valleyfest).
Mac said "Wow, we need to be sure and do this next year!"
We decided that Krispy Kreme sounded like a better option. As we pulled into the parking lot, we did see two more balloons, so I guess it was pretty "spectacular!" I'm sooo glad that Curt was golfing this morning. It would have taken a long time to live it down.

Wow! I don't think I would have even made the effort and then if I did and that happened...I would have been really mad! But, Krispy Kreme solves any problem! :)
